Can we EVER thank you enough??….ALL OF YOU (and your families)
for all that you do to keep the USA free, for all that you do so I can sleep peacefully, with a roof over my head and food on my table, so that my family and I can have the priviledge of attending church each week unafraid!!! I have no idea what you and your buddies go through, but I just wanted you to know that while the media shows protestors on television, most of the Americans I have contact with ,are FULLY SUPPORTIVE of the Armed Services’s efforts. I grew up in Lexington, and have 4 sons , ages 36-24. One was in the US ARMY and one in the Navy.
However, I am a displaced UK fan, living in Tennessee.
Yes, it is wonderful when you can receive good news in the way of wildcat wins, but the BEST news will be when we know that you are back safely.
We live close to Ft. Campbell, and hear much of the news from there, and have many retired armed forces personel in our area(close to Ky Lake).
Again, thank you all for your committment and bravery!!

Dear Sgt. Tressler, my wife and I want to thank you for your service to our country. I was in the Army for 30 years and appreciate everyday I spent. We just want you to know that we pray for the members of our armed forces everyday.
After retiring from Ft. Knox, we moved back to Lexington, my home town to be close to family. Unfortunately my dad died after 2 years, and my mom had died in 1970. We love living in Lexington. Oh yes Nicholasville Road is horrible, but Harrodsburg Road is getting about as bad since contractors are building so many homes out here.
Tonight we are going to the UK Women’s basketball game. They are looking pretty darn good. We are fortunately enough to get the men’s tickets, but do enjoy watching them on tv.
Glad you are rooting on the football team. They have done so well too and have only a few more games to go. Bowl bound we will be.
Again, thanks so much for your service to our country!
Are you the same, and one and ONLY, Stevie Tressler, who went to Mary Queen, and who I loved having at my home back in the early 80’s? Sgt. Tressler, I do miss those good ole days!!!
I always knew you would grow up to be a fine young man; it showed in your personality and character, even as a child.
So, there you are, defending our country, and giving of yourself. I’m so proud of you!
I pray for you and your family, and thank God daily for you, and for all who fight to keep this country free.
Thank you, my honorary son, for all you do.
Much love and many blessings,
Edith Fernandez
I wanted to let you know that I read your blogs everytime I get onto Kentucky.com. I enjoy hearing about different things you speak about. My brother, Sgt Joseph Herrington Jr is currently in the 2/138th FA unit from Carlisle, stationed I believe with you at Camp Taji. If you can and if you ever run across him, will you give him a great big hug from his sister. I want you and every other soldier there to know, that you all are always in my prayers and we all will be waiting and greeting you all with smiles and hugs when you all return home in May. Take care and remember the uint has many, many prayers going out everyday!
